SCREENING PROCEDURES Columbia Foundation receives many more applications than it can fund each year. Although many applications merit support and fall within guidelines, the foundation is able to fund less than one-in-ten applications in each area each year. A three-stage review process follows each program application deadline: (1) review of LOIs by staff and consultants; (2) review and discussion by foundation trustees, program committees, and community advisors; and (3) final staff recommendations to the board of directors for decisions approximately four to six months after the program-area deadline. back to menu |
